We are pleased to share the initial impressions of our collaboration with Everest, a company known for its impressive leadership and commitment to innovation in the field of ERP systems. The founders of Everest have a strong background in ERP solutions, having worked with leading companies in the industry. Everest is recognized for its tailored ERP solution to optimize business processes.

Everest needed a solution that not only facilitated penetration testing but also provided clear visibility into the process.

HackGATE provided Everest with a platform to control and monitor their ethical hacking projects effectively. HackGATE is the industry's first comprehensive solution for controlling and monitoring pentest projects, making security testing transparent.

When we started our collaboration, the integration of HackGATE into testing was smooth. We created a HackGATE instance for Everest, and the testing went through it. HackGATE was practically between the pentester and the target web app, providing real-time visibility and detailed insights into pentesting activities. This improved coordination and accountability across distributed security teams and pentesters.

Both Everest's security team and Hackrate's team monitored the traffic on HackGATE dashboards to ensure everything went as planned. This approach helped Everest confirm that all aspects of their target systems were thoroughly tested. During the testing, HackGATE revealed a new URL path in the web app that should not have been accessible with the given user roles and had previously seen no testing traffic. The penetration tester who discovered this hidden location reported the security flaw on the Hackrate Ethical Hacking Platform to the Everest team, showcasing an interesting and valuable use case of the HackGATE solution.

In complex applications, where there is a lot to look at, the comprehensiveness of the test is even more important. HackGATE's capability was particularly valuable for Everest's security team, ensuring their systems were secure and resilient.

Holger Mack, Head of Security at Everest, shared, "HackGATE has proven to be an invaluable tool in our penetration testing efforts. Its ability to provide clear evidence of comprehensive security testing is essential for our security team, especially in the context of crowdsourced security testing and bug bounty programs."

Everest's initial experience with HackGATE was highlighted by its easy integration and the transparency it brought to the penetration testing process. The real-time visibility and detailed insights provided by HackGATE allowed Everest's security team to monitor and control the testing activities effectively. The support from the Hackrate team and comprehensive monitoring helped Everest feel confident in the thoroughness and reliability of the penetration test.

HackGATE addresses common challenges in penetration testing, such as lack of visibility and dependence on final pentest reports. By providing detailed insights and continuous monitoring during the testing process, HackGATE ensures that penetration tests are thorough - acting as a quality assurance solution for penetration testing.
We are proud to work with the Everest team and support their innovative initiatives with our advanced security solutions.
